Lead Analyst (Data Warehouse Business Intelligence)
| This position is responsible for requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of solutions using the Microsoft suite of products including Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server and SharePoint 2010. Candidate must have solid foundation in database technologies and proven success in software development. Responsibilities will also include technical analysis of customizations, remediation and testing during major upgrades. This position requires an individual to be a self starter who can work with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science or comparable field.
- 6+ years of experience in Information Systems.
- Experience in creating management and operations dashboards including design, development and implementation.
- Proven experience with MDX (MultiDimensional eXpressions) for querying and manipulating the multidimensional data stored in OLAP cubes.
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server SSRS (Reporting Services).
- Expert in designing reports layout and developing Sub Reports, Matrix reports, charts. Drill down reports and parameterized reports using SSRS.
- Expert knowledge in creating stored procedures.
- Experience in implementing and supporting SharePoint 2010 applications and services.
- Strong knowledge of Relational database modeling and Dimensional database modeling concepts.
- Expertise in T-SQL development with MS-SQL.
- Ability to manage the complete cycle of software development from specification writing through software development, unit and integration testing.
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, follow-through, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to document technical and functional processes, including Issue Documents, MD60 and RD60 templates.
- Competency in Unix and Windows environments.
- Ability to work on simultaneous projects and capable of rapidly responding to production related issues.
- Ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ability to analyze existing applications and assess customization requests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server products SSAS (Analysis Servies ) and SSIS (Integration Services).
- Experience in creating views and cubes.
- Knowledge of Oracle 11i applications and Oracle 9i and 10g databases.
- Strong programming skills in multiple high level programming languages with knowledge of Object Oriented (OO) programming concepts.
Occasional travel required (up to 10%).
